Evening at Elliots Beach

Ting ting ting goes the almost constant sound of a frying pan of the chips vendor who hammers on with his spoon.
I see a couple kissing oblivious to the people who walk around them
The sound of kolattam and humm and horns of the bikes and cars
if he himself called it must be the truth
I saw an old woman bent wiping her ass with grass.
Blue lights go up and comes down
if lot of people come and go its problem
CLANG is the sound of an one rupee coin as it hits an old begger woman’s pot.
Ding Ding a Ding Ding sound the bell of the sonpappadi seller
Dog squealed eeeowe four dogs making out, two black, one brown, one black brown.
The balloons tied to a stick act as if they want to fly away.
A jolly family walked by, laughing, joking.
Man and women walk towards water, hands around their shoulders
Two people coughed one after another. Hatchuuu
can’t see like that” appadi parka mudiathu’
wind says oooooo in my ears
eeeaoook eeeaoook is the sound from balloons and a balloon seller tweaks them
“ rendu per pinnadi varanum konjam kuda”
ithu valikathu” “ yanaiya kooda savadichidalam
Girl in pink is having ice cream with her friends. Ice cream is cream colored.
its nothing” beach is full of white lights, only two yellow lights.
A small rat ran around my leg and disappeared in a hole near the little wall.
sapidala kelu” , the shadows in the sand are innumerable lot like the sand here.
Paper running towards me. Bells are ringing.

Wrestling

Sometime last week I turned on my TV and was watching Doordarshan's erratic relay of the Beijing Olympics, there was lot of hype about the boxing match scheduled later in the evening, they even and a song and dance promo..
and then they showed a wrestling match between India and Kazakhstan, the match was evenly poised, in the last round the Kazak started with the advantage over the Indian, when suddenly Sushil managed to throw his opponent on the ground and pinned him, the match was over, India has won a bronze, it is one of those filmy moments in Olympics, a guy who has lost the quarter-finals and is in a repercharge round, he has to fight three opponents in a span of 70 minutes to win the bronze, suddenly bronze is better than gold.

7001

have reached 7001 Views in my flickr photo stream, a very small number compared to other photo streams, some of them even have more views on one picture than my entire photo stream. but I like this number very much - 7001- is a nice number, better than 100000000000 or 120000 for instance.

my photo is on the 4'th row - 4'th column.

I took this photograph in Kasi ( varanasi) near assi ghat, it was quite amazing to witness it, I think it is some sort of mechanism that's doing it, and people were offering prayers in Ganga in the morning near this whirlpool and it somehow touched a primitive chord in me, how nature has to be worshiped to ensure the safety and sustainability of the fragile human life.
