The Governer's bunglow should have looked impressive. the building on the beach was also in the same condition but now somebody has renovated it and now its a heritage hotel, it looks impressive on the beach.
This Bunglow is now home for a few old men, who read newspaper all the time or just sit staring out, the damage to this building is pretty extensive, I went upstairs to find beautiful view of the fort, the beach and also a room full of shit, I am amazed that someone would risk their lives to climb up there and cross a huge gaping hole on the floor and then shit ! !

During 1620 AD, Roland Crappe, a danish Navy captain in the name of the danish king bought Tranquebar and the surrounding area from the Tanjore King. Then this fort was built and Tranquebar was made a trading spot.
Nearly 384 years after this Fort was built it was partially renovated during 2002 by the ' Tranquebar Association'.

this is not a true color photo, it was ps'ed by me to enhance it .
more photos of the fort are in the following pages.
